Linerless labels are adhesive labels without backing (without protective layer preventing from adhesion). They are produced by coating the front surface with special material in order to prevent adhesive surface to adhere to the printed surface. Linerless is a label of unlimited length.Labels of different lengths can be made of the rolls of the same width.Length of the label depends on quantity of information to be printed.
Advantages of the linerless labels:
- size of labels (length and width), no need for many types. A label of necessary length is printed.
- change in a device for roles („set up“) takes a few times less time. Printing area is double in size in a roll of linerless labels.
- no wastes after application of labels.
- lower storage costs, no need for separate storage of different size labels; less area of labels is used for printing.
- occupational safety: less risk of injury of operator. Avoidance of possible slip and cut with remaining siliconized paper.
- Pollution tax costs will reduce more than twice: weights of the same size linerless and common labels differ approximately 40%. Only a necessary area will be printed and no blank spaces will be left.
